As part of a governmental mandate, the Department of Finance of Canada, as part of the Federal Government, releases annual reports to inform about the outcomes of its administration at the end of the fiscal year. This report includes a general overview of spending and activities, supported by data tables and numbers without any other visual elements avoiding distractions of the actual economic scenery; easy to follow by trained eyes of experts and specialized functionaries who work with these kinds of legal documents, particularly with the nature of the expense and its structure.

This exercise is an attempt to simplify and condense the general information in an executive printed version with an infographic format that allows readers to have an overview in no more than three magazine spreads, following the features and restrictions available in the Design Standards for the Federal Identity Program, warranting neutrality in terms of colour identity, consistency and coherence in official publications.
